The Windsor Garden Group's Mission Statement
To exchange gardening ideas and discoveries, as well as seeds and plants, to do some community service, and to keep gardening fun!
Spring Gardening Program
Come join the Windsor Garden Group Thursday April 26, 2012, 7:00PM at the Windsor Community House located on Main Street, Windsor NY.
Bring your questions and sit back with a cup of coffee as Kevin Mathers from Cornell Cooperative Extension, explains how to set up a productive compost pile, mulch your outdoor plants-or not, and just how much to prune your trees and shrubs without damaging them.
There is no charge for this informative program, it is open to all AND refreshments will be served.

Mini Hostas and getting ready to approach the back yard! Ready?
Peggy Colosi's first glimpse of the back yard! Eric Neff smiles at her response.
Eric's gardens were hit with the hail storm in May.
Eric also mixes Columbine, Ferns, Trillium, Solomon's Seal and Primrose in with the Hostas.
Even the grass is beautiful!

Our Valentine Card Project at Windsor Woods on Tue. 2/8/11 was a fun time as always.

Who has more fun than the Windsor Garden Group?
In the Windsor Garden Group we seem to ask that a lot! We fill our meetings, our seasons, and our lives with fun activities, foods, and people!
The Garden Group was formed in the summer of 1997 by a group of easy-going gardening friends and that's what we all remain today. We meet every other Tuesday, sometimes more in the summer! Our meetings begin at 10am and dues are still just $12 per year. Our meetings are held at various members' homes and gardens (on an informal, volunteer basis). This first meeting of the month typically includes a fun garden tour or craft. The second meeting of the month is a "business" meeting and even these are fun! We often have optional workdays or special field trips on the alternating Tuesdays.

Please join us!
For the day ~ for the year ~ or for 10 years!
Through the years the Windsor Garden Group has had meetings that included a Garlic Festival, candle stamping, creating nut & cone topiaries, gourmet cooking (and eating), making garden ornaments and markers, designing our own seed packets, creating care baskets for shut-ins, flower presses, mod-podge designs, pressed-flower projects, and many plant exchanges.
Our Public Programs have included Moss Gardening, Roses, Herbs, May Day, Pressed Flowers, Container Gardening and creating your own Stepping Stones.
Our Holiday classes have been a hit since our very first one! We've made and decorated wreaths, swags, evergreen baskets, nut & cone wreaths, candle centerpieces, Mistletoe kissing balls, mini Christmas trees, hand-made ornaments, Christmas Sleighs, and Della Robia Designs!
