Windsor Garden Group 2010 meetings

Meetings are held at 10:00am on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month, at the Windsor Community House, unless otherwise listed.

Tuesday, January 12-Winter break

January 26-Create Edible Arrangement for Windsor Senior Luncheon!  Judy Williams-co-ordinator

February 9- Windsor Woods Senior Housing (Valentine's Project)

February 23-Sue Rambo's home-Bring your datebooks & calendars!  We're going to set up some meeting and program dates!

March 9-Business meeting at Shirley Kilker's home

March 23-9:30am Breakfast meeting at Linda Young's Pumpkin Pine Farm!  Pancakes & real Maple syrup! **Each member please bring 3 new Easter Cards with envelopes.** Also, Linda & Monnie will have a special craft for us.

April 13-NOTE CHANGE-Business meeting at Judy Williams' home

April 27-ROAD TRIP and Lunch! Meet at the United Methodist Church back parking lot on Chapel St. or at the McDonald's in West Windsor.  We'll be on the road by 9:45 to be in Owego by 10:30.

August 31-Road Trip to Cutler Gardens on Front St. Followed by lunch at Applebees!! We will meet at 9:15am in the Parking lot of the Methodist Church on Chapel St.  We'll arrange our Carpools and leave by 9:30am.  OR members and guests can meet in the McDonald's parking lot in West Windsor and leave from there at 9:40 or so. Contact SUE R. with any questions.

Sunday, September 12 at 2:00 WGG Family Picnic at Peggy Colosi's home.  Bring a dish to pass and your favorite beverage. Sausage, hot dogs and rolls will be provided. Marie has the sign up sheet for sides & desserts!

September 14-Road Trip to Stony Hill Farms, 3801 Brady Hill Rd. in Binghamton Meet at UMC parking lot, Chapel St. and carpool!  We'll leave Windsor at 9:20am or so. OR meet at McD's in West Windsor and leave there at 9:30 or so. Contact PEGGY with any questions. Guests are encouraged!

September 28-Business Meeting and PLANT EXCHANGE at Carole Sabatine's home! If Carole has to work, the meeting and plant exchange will be at the Community House.

October12-Annual Business meeting and WGG officer Elections at Windsor Community House.  This is the start of our Garden Group year! Dues are due! See Nominating Committee Members Peggy Colosi or Jean Neil to nominate someone for an office.  President AND Vice President positions are open!

July 14-Quick walk to the Secret Garden on Ford St. followed by our Business Meeting at Judy Wms. home.

August 11-Business meeting at Cindy VanHorn's on Kent St.-Thanks Cindy, The garden tour and the refreshments were awesome!

August 25-Garden Tour at Sue Balchikonis' on North Rd.

September 1- Field Trip to Cutler Gardens!  Leave from the Unted Methodist Church parking lot on Chapel St. at 9:15am OR from the McDonald's on North Rd. at 9:30am.  OR just meet us there! Bring your cameras and notebooks!  The gardens are lush at this time of year.  We'll do lunch (somewhere on Front St.) after enjoying the gardens.

Saturday, September 19-WGG family picnic at Peggy's.  Cocktails and appetizers from 2:00 on with picnic dinner at 3pm or so.  

September 22-Plant Exchange!  Jean Neil's home on Kent St.

October 13-Meet at 9:30am at the Windsor Community House for autumn clean-up in the gardens and then head over to the Windsor Highway Dept. gardens to work there.  Elaine will provide refreshments! Thanks Elaine!

October 27-Judy Bode's home at 11:00am. "The Dahlias will be ready to divide & share!"              Very Important:  This meeting at Judy's is a "Goodbye Snowbirds" tea.  Everyone who is heading south (or west) for the winter will be feted with this farewell luncheon.  If you're staying for the winter, bring a dish to share!

December 8-Sue Balchikonis' home at  11:00am Bring your donation for Human Development, your gift to exchange, and your dish to pass!

Friday, December 11 at 6:00pm- Cindy VanHorn's home for the WGG Christmas Party!
